GIPHY brand channel

As Instagram grew to be one of our platforms with the most engagement by our target demographic (young people between the ages of 18–25 who are eligible for City Year), our team realized there was an opportunity to provide our national audience and local markets with fun, engaging stickers unique to our organization.

After brainstorming and prioritizing which gifs to create first, I worked to get our channel approved as a brand and subsequently get verified on the platform.

As the project lead, I worked with teammates to brainstorm and categorize what types of gif stickers would be useful and relevant (considering our various audiences’ needs).

Excellence, Ubuntu, and Teamwork—three of City Year's organizational values—were prioritized as part of the first batch of gifs submitted as part of the Brand Channel application.

Within a month, the 10 'starter' gifs I designed garnered 450K+ impressions. 🙌
